Ride & Guide is operated by XCL GROUP PTY LTD (ABN 74 662 809 350), located at 5 Simmons St, Box Hill North, VIC 3129, Australia. We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
We collect information you provide when booking: name, email, phone, payment details (processed securely by Stripe — we never store full card details), pickup addresses, and trip preferences. We also collect technical data (IP address, browser type, device info) via analytics.
Your information is used to: confirm and deliver bookings, communicate about your trip, process payments, send booking confirmations and receipts, improve our services, and comply with legal obligations.
We share booking details only with: our licensed driver and guide partners (to deliver the service), Stripe (payment processing), and service providers (email delivery, analytics). We never sell your personal information.
Data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (Vercel, Neon). We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS, TLS) for data in transit and at rest. Payment card data is handled by Stripe which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management, and analytics cookies (Vercel Analytics, Google Analytics) to understand website usage. You can disable non-essential cookies via your browser settings.
Under Australian privacy law you have the right to access your personal information, request corrections, request deletion (subject to legal retention requirements), and opt out of marketing communications. Contact us at info@rideandguide.com.au to exercise these rights.
Booking records are retained for 7 years to meet Australian tax and legal requirements. Marketing data is retained until you opt out.
